Alarm Chair
A smart chair built with Patra — an ultra-low-power posture-inference algorithm suggests rest based on accumulated fatigue.
2022 · LENIF in-house
LiDAR posture & fatigue model
Developed in-house at LENIF. A model that scans space with a LiDAR sensor to infer seated posture and compute accumulated fatigue per body region.
2024 · SIDIZ collab
Ergonomic Sensing Pilot
A proof-of-concept with Sidiz validating ergonomic sensing modules in furniture — carrying a model that infers seated posture and joint angles and computes accumulated fatigue.
2025 · LEANBACK collab
Smart Chair S1
Completed with Leanback, the IoT Smart Chair S1 carries the Posebit service — inferring posture in real time, computing accumulated fatigue, and suggesting stretches and rest. Unveiled at CIFF Guangzhou 2025.
Our technology
Before fatigue builds,
we know the moment to move
LENIF’s technology begins by reading — through data — what the body goes through while seated. Even for the same hours, the pace at which fatigue builds differs from person to person with posture and surroundings. Since 2022 our in-house LiDAR posture-fatigue model has read that difference, and the understanding flows into how we design chairs and services. Fatigue here is an estimated index from posture and time, not a directly measured value.

It accumulates how long a posture is held into a 0–100 estimated index.
